Chris Percopo Joins Unbound Philanthropy as Chief Operating Officer
Unbound Philanthropy is delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Percopo as Chief Operating Officer. He joined at the end of October.
In this role Chris oversees all aspects of Unbound Philanthropy’s Finance and Operations, Human Resources, Grants Management, and IT, to advance Unbound’s mission to invest in leaders and organizations in the US and UK contributing to a vibrant, welcoming society and just immigration system, as part of a pluralist and inclusive democracy.

Chris joins Unbound Philanthropy after more than a 16-year tenure at The Helmsley Charitable Trust where he served in a variety of capacities while the organization scaled from a staff of 3 to more than 100 with annual grantmaking that exceeds more than $400 million. The core of his work was managing the full life-cycle of the organization’s grantmaking, while focusing on continuous improvement of process and policy. Chris formerly held roles in development, grants management, and strategy at non-profits including The Cancer Support Community and Greyston Foundation.
Chris is a Trustee of the Northern New Jersey Community Foundation and is on the Client Advisory Board of Fluxx Labs and NGO Source, and is a Member of the Marxe Dean’s Advisory Board of Baruch College, where he holds a MPA. Chris received a BA from George Washington University.
