Our Priorities

We focus our work in three areas.

We seek to deepen and activate public support for a society where all people, including immigrants, belong and can thrive. We do this by supporting organizations to tell stories about a variety of people getting to know and care about each other. We support work happening at the community level to build prosperous communities, and to help ensure that both the lives of people moving, as well as the communities where they settle, are improved.

Unbound Philanthropy is a non-partisan 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization that does not engage in political campaigning or lobbying activities prohibited by applicable law.

Some of the grantees we support in this area are:

We seek a safe, fair, and orderly immigration system that is rooted in justice, honors the dignity of all people, and advances the common good. Such a system will serve our economy, our communities, and our democracy.

We partner with advocates, researchers, and others to rigorously investigate which solutions can best serve all of us. We seek to encourage healthy, respectful, and productive dialogue that includes the voices of people across sectors and backgrounds, including immigrants and those who are less visible, to develop solutions that work for the whole of society.

Some of the grantees we support in this area are:

We strive for welcoming communities where all people belong and can fully participate in social, civic, and economic life. Developing and strengthening a sense of belonging together among all members of our society makes communities stronger and healthier. We support the full participation of all people, from all backgrounds, to help harness opportunities and build prosperity.

Immigration can positively impact not just the people who migrate, but also the communities they join. Evidence shows that meaningful and positive interaction between immigrants and their neighbors can help foster respect and understanding, and in both the US and UK we support work that encourages mutual engagement among all residents.
